Bamboo Partners™ specializes in website design using the Content Management System (CMS) called Joomla!

Joomla! is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla! the most popular Web site software available. Best of all, Joomla! is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone.

What's a content management system (CMS)?

A content management system is software that keeps track of every piece of content on your Web site, much like your local public library keeps track of books and stores them. Content can be simple text, photos, music, video, documents, or just about anything you can think of. A major advantage of using a CMS is that it requires almost no technical skill or knowledge to manage. Since the CMS manages all your content, you don't have to.

Our Rates

The rates for Bamboo Partners™ to design / host your site can be estimated below:

 

Domain name fees: Varies

The fees for your domain name will vary depending on your choice of domain name and registrar. Also there may be fees for any other options that you may need when you register.  Usually, the domain name plus a private registration is all you will require which is usually around $25.00 per year.

Hosting fees: Varies

Bamboo Partners™ will, as part of the initial setup fee, provide recommendations of a hosting provider for your website and / or your email services based on your particular needs.

Email Mailbox fees: Varies

Your email host will determine if there are extra fees per mailbox for their services. Traditionally the average mailbox fees go anywhere from $2 to $10 per mailbox per month.

Dedicated Static IP address: $30.00 / year

If a static IP address exclusive to your use is required due to your hosting requirements, there is an additional yearly charge to have a dedicated IP address for your web server.  This charge is only if Bamboo Partners™ is hosting your site at our Data Center.

Initial website setup: $225.00

This includes setup of the Joomla! CMS on your choice of hosting provider and assistance in securing your domain name.  We will also setup the DNS to point to your domain so the world can find you! This also includes the initial upgrade to the latest version of Joomla! and the addition of some basic back-end modules such as admin tools, backup and a sitemap generator. (so the search engines can index your content!)

Website Template Design: $225.00

This includes the initial design of your website template - fonts, colors, styles, page size - in short, any of the visual items on your web.  We work with you to make your design your own, based upon your input.  Two to three major design changes are included in this fee with three to five minor changes allowed after the design goes live on the web.  Additional changes are extra.

Page Setup: $60.00 per page / menu item

This includes the setup of a page (Joomla! would consider this an Article) with some basic placeholder text and the corresponding menu item / button.  This does not include the actual adding of content to the page - typing and formatting of your text.

Module installation / setup / configuration: $75.00 per module

A module is usually those items that you will see on the sides of the page, such as hours of operation, weather, Facebook "Like Us" box, Skype contact buttons and a login / registration form are just a few.

Component installation / setup / configuration: $80.00 per component

A component is basically a functionality add-on, such as a calendar, web store, download area or photo gallery.  A "contact us" form is also considered a component for pricing purposes. Basic setup and configuration is included, adding content (web store products, calendar items and photos) is not.

Advanced component installation / setup / configuration: $220.00 per component

An advanced component is a major functionality add-on, such as a CRM component or an event or membership manager.  These are considered advanced due to the extensive setup involved. Initial setup and configuration is included, adding content is not.

Component / Module additional fees: Varies

While most components and modules are free, there are some that need to be purchased, or ones that have a paid version that provide additional functionality and support that would be required or desired.  These fees (if needed) are what we pay the developers directly.

Page Content design and creation: $175.00 per page

You don't have anything written for your home page, about us page or another page? (Joomla! would consider this an Article) No worries, we can write the content for your page and add your photos or logos to the design on your page.

Website Monthly Maintenance: $50.00 per month (optional)

We will be happy to maintain your website if you wish - we will keep your Joomla! site updated and patched to the latest version, update your modules and components and perform a monthly backup.  We will also, at your request, fix any minor editing / formatting issues that may have cropped up during the month.

Website Monthly Administration: $125.00 per month (optional)

We also offer website administration - this includes all of the items from our monthly maintenance package (above) and also includes general administration - maintaining users, (approval of new users, deleting spammers) administering a forum, adding or changing client supplied content to a page, adding photos to a gallery, monitoring analytics, and other module / component administration.

Joomla! Administration Training: $125.00 per hour (optional)

Learn how to manage your own website with our administration training - normally, this is a one hour go-over of how to manage your website using the Joomla administrative interface. (All menu driven! No programming knowledge required!) This includes general administration - maintaining users, (approval of new users, deleting spammers) administering a forum, adding or changing content to a page, adding photos to a gallery, monitoring analytics, and other module / component administration.  Advanced component training may require more training depending on your needs.

 


 We request a 50% deposit upon acceptance of our estimate for website design.

All pricing includes North Carolina Sales and Use Tax of 4.75% and the local Wilkes County Sales and Use Tax of 2.25%.
